Hi Warrior, I'm Hanne

I've been where you are.

I'm an eating disorder recovery coach with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Bath, specialist eating disorder training (NEDC), and lived experience of anorexia and orthorexia.

I fully recovered in 2015. Since then I've spent my time helping women turn recovery from something they understand in practice into something they actually practise.

My eating disorder recovery story

Recovery became possible when I stopped negotiating with the ED.

My own recovery wasn't about suddenly becoming brave enough, or waking up one morning feeling ready enough. It took making recovery a non-negotiable and learning to keep taking recovery-aligned action even when the eating disorder had plenty of counter-arguments.

For years I knew what recovery asked of me, yet I still stayed stuck. What changed wasn't more information. It was structure, repetition, and refusing to let discomfort make the decision.

That's shaped how I coach. I don't want you to spend years becoming an expert in your eating disorder while staying in the same patterns. I want insight to translate to action, and action to translate to freedom.

I have a life the eating disorder told me I could never have.

2009–2015

Eating disorder & treatment

Anorexia and orthorexia, through years of treatment and multiple admissions, and a long stretch of believing recovery might not be for me.

2015

Fully recovered

Not because the discomfort disappeared, but because I stopped treating it as a reason to wait.

Professional development

Graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Bath, started my recovery YouTube channel, and published Just Perfect, Red Ribbons and a contribution to The Recovery Letters.
