I finally admitted I needed help. Hanne has been so understanding from square one — she helped me reframe my mindset and was always there for support. My family have noticed how much better I am at handling situations.

She listens and understands me in a way no previous treatments and therapists have — because she has been through it herself. The perfect support and accountability I needed.

Overall, I found the group programme incredibly informative, insightful and helpful for my recovery. Hanne broke down a plethora of important information, advice, tools, strategies and coping mechanisms that I can learn, practise and use. I've noticed a big positive shift in my mindset and feelings — mentally, physically and emotionally.

Because of Hanne's personal story and her quick, dedicated responses, I signed up — and I'm so glad I did. The programme helped me gain insight into the body-critical thoughts and behaviours that kept me in the restrictive cycle. Hanne is incredibly kind and professional, and really feels like a recovery coach and buddy.

Working with Hanne changed everything for me. She listened without judgement, gave me structure, and held me accountable. What I valued most was how safe and at ease I felt with her. Every session we worked with a concrete plan, with check-ins in between. I no longer count calories, I can genuinely enjoy food again, I no longer over-exercise, and I'm okay with how my body is. Something I never thought possible became a reality with Hanne's help.

Het werken met Hanne heeft voor mij alles veranderd. Ze luisterde zonder oordeel, gaf me houvast en hield me accountable.

Bini

Bini came to coaching at 18, exhausted by years of restriction and convinced recovery might not be for her. She was functioning — starting a high-intensity university degree, navigating friendships, making plans — but food and body rules still ran in the background.

Over three months of working together, we focused on daily actions: eating enough, challenging fear foods, and practising ordinary life — cinema, meals out, planning ahead. Instead of waiting to feel ready, Bini allowed life to expand before things felt settled.

“My life gave a 180-degree turn. I wanted to be free, brave enough to face any challenge life has to offer. I can engage with my friends, go to the cinema, plan ahead without feeling everything is a puzzle that has to fit. I am healthy.”

Roxy

Roxy came to coaching in quasi-recovery after a relapse. She was eating “well enough” on paper, but still following rules and terrified of losing control. She didn't feel fully ready to let go of the eating disorder, but sought out support despite that.

The work we did together was practical, with a focus on rebuilding regular mealtimes, practising flexibility, and learning to take rest. During our work together, she enjoyed a five-week holiday, eating out daily instead of planning around food. Her period returned. And the steps she'd been so afraid to take were the ones that gave her the freedom she'd been seeking.

Lizzie

Lizzie had lived with anorexia for 19 years and had been discharged from treatment feeling hopeless about the prospect of recovery. She needed structure that matched how her brain worked, and not just a one-size-fits-all.

The self-guided RESET course gave her a clear, step-by-step framework she could return to, and the peer community gave her accountability between modules.

She notices it most in the ordinary things: taking her stepmum out for coffee and cake for her birthday, the first time in 15 years; eating her own baking instead of panicking and giving it away; and accepting the larger latte she was offered with her loyalty points, simply thinking how nice it was to get more coffee rather than worrying about the calories.

“After 19 years with anorexia, the modules clicked in a way other things hadn't. I'm further along than I've ever been. I live with so much more freedom now, and thanks to recovery I've been able to return to running — the sport I love that anorexia stole from me for so many years.”
